I have a weird problem trying to get users connect to a rb600 with four mini pcis. I created a security profile with wep and mac authentication, all four of them with the same ssid. Some users can’t connect to the network when both are enabled. When I disable the mac authentication those users are able to connect. I don’t know why but that’s the case. I wouldn’t like to change the ssid’s names to unique names since I need the roaming for some users that have laptops and move around the area.
I entered the user’s mac address and the adapter I would like that user to connect to in the access list. If I leave it without mac authentication some of the client roam to another adapter with lower signal and get a slower connection even if I an interface selected for it. I tried to avoid this by enforcing the mac to connect to certain panel that has the greatest signal but, I’m having difficulties as stated.
How can I have users only authenticate to a certain interface without having to change the ssid’s?
