Access over WAN to LTE hardware

Have a Verizon MiFi 5510 working with a 751U-2HnD. Recognized and assigned a LTE1 interface and working fine.

HOWEVER-

I want to deploy this on a remote solar-powered network and I need to be able to remotely access the hardware there through the 5510.

I can get the WAN facing IP of the 5510 via its config pages, but I don’t know where to go from there. I don’t see this IP in any of the properties for the lte1 interface, else a script could be run on the 751 periodically to email the new IP when it changes.

My current setup is satellite with a fixed IP, so life is simple, but slow. NAT rules for forwarding took care of accessing the remote devices.

I believe this may have something to do with the fact that the 5510 incorporates a router, it isn’t a simple bridge like a LTE USB dongle would be.

Any thoughts? Is there any way to get to the WAN IP on LTE devices?

Ugh. Did a little more digging and answered my own question:

Dang. This stinks.

Next thing to try - forcing the 5510 into 3G mode and see if it presents a Public IP instead of the 10.x.x.x one it’s using now. I can only get 3G at the site I want to use it at anyway.
