Hello,
I would like some help for my network setup.
I have an RB1100 as main router which offers free hotspot with registration using usermanager.
(e.g. IP = 172.20.0.1, network 172.20.0.0/22 and netmask 255.255.252.0).
Everything works fine…
Dhcp offers ip to customers from 172.20.0.40 until 172.20.3.254
There no vlans or anything else in the network. Just simple hotspot setup.
I have about 30 RB Hap AC Lite which I have setup as access points (not using capsman) with ip
from 172.20.0.2 until 172.20.0.32 , network 172.20.0.0/22 and netmask 255.255.252.0
Access points offers wifi access and ethernet access from the ethernet ports.
All ports are bridged with static ip at bridge.
They are working OK and any customer who connects to Access point gets Ip from main router and have internet.
I would like if its possible to config the access point with different ip but in same network
(e.g. IP = 172.16.0.2, network 172.20.0.0/22 and netmask 255.255.252.0)
so I will not have to use the range ips from customers dhcp server.
If i do this the customers who connects have internet OK but the access point dont have internet
which I want it.
I have done this with 5 tp-link access point but cant make with the RB’s.
Any ideas plz for the config.
Thanks
