Access problem to the router MikroTik RB2011UAS-2HnD-IN

/Sorry for my bad English/

Hello.
Please help with configuring access to the router without using the reset.

My Hardware: MikroTik RB2011UAS-2HnD-IN, beeline ISP L2tp, Win7.
I set up a router with Winbox connection Beeline internet works, and began to configure wi-fi, changed SSID, set the frequency, but there is no connection with my smartphone.
I read on the internet, what ineed to enter through 192.168.88.1/cfg and security settings to tick the box on the Firewall, NAT, and something else, so did he, in relation to the port where the cable comes from the Beeline (ISP).

Result/Problem: Internet works, wi-fi is not working. I can not log on the router.
Error messages:

  • When trying through Winbox (MAC) - Could not connect to _ (mac adress) _ (port 20561) - timed out!
  • When trying through Winbox (IP) - long connects to port 8291, and then writes the Port 0, then the message: Could not connect to _ (IP adress: 80) _ - no response!

Kindly explain the method call in the router, or to cancel the entry rules and NAT Firewall, without using the Reset.

thanks

Hello NorthHokum,

there is a known issue, related to the MS Windows 7 side, connecting to the RB2011 series by using the MAC address.
So please try out connecting over LAN port 1 (ether1) to your computer and using Winbox over the IP address, first.
If this is bringing you no suggests, please try out the webfig configuration over the IP address please.

A hint at last from me;

  • Powering on the first time your box, please safe the license first!!!
  • After the configuration is done, please store this configuration on your computer!
  • If you then must reset the router you will be able to insert (play back) the before stored configuration file easily
and then it doesn´t matter if you have to reset the router!
  • Only use netinstall method for reinstalling the RouterOS system, otherwise your license is gone!!!
  • on the Backside of the Box is a so called rrj45 console port, you can also easily have a connect to the box.

Good luck
