Access to MikroTik hap ax3 set up as access point via VPN

HI,
I just bought my first MikroTik router (hap ax3). My knowledge regarding routerOS is extremely broad. I have an OpenVPN set up on my main TP-link AX1800 router that is plugged into the modem from my ISP. My MikroTik hap ax3 is set as an access point in the other room. I was testing some things and noticed that while I’m connected from any outside network via VPN, I can easily access my TP-link router, but not the MikroTik access point. I have used an old DDWRT before and had no issues. I know that I might just set up a VPN server on my MikroTik, but I love the idea and convenience of connecting via one tunnel and being able to manage all the routers.

TP-Link IP - 192.168.1.1
MikroTik IP - 192.168.1.2
OpenVPN IP address assigned - 192.168.2.6

I’ve tried to set MikroTik to a different subnet ex. 10.25.25.1 and changing the VPN address pool to the same subnet, but then after entering this address into the browser on my phone connected via VPN I was redirected to the TP-Link router GUI (which seems odd to me).

I’ll appreciate any help and suggestions.

Probably your AX3 is still configured to block access from WAN side (default ether1).
If it is a true AP and all router services are performed by other devices, simply change interface list to have ether1 as LAN, not WAN.
Not much more you should do then (since default firewall will allow LAN access whereas it blocks WAN).

If that’s not the case, you may have to show your config.

Actually I have found a solution. All I had to do was to set DHCP client on bridge.
