I searched the forum and did a few google searches and could not find what I was looking for. Most likely because I don’t know the right question to ask. I would really appreciate it if someone told me if it’s possible to do what I envisage, with perhaps a few hints on where to start.
Ok, so this is my first experience with ROS, so please forgive me for the absolute lack of knowledge. I thought that if I asked people familiar with the tech I would prevent any time wasted learning ROS if it cannot do what I am thinking; I will try explain as best I can.
Currently I dial my work VPN through windows. The problem is all the internet traffic gets routed through the VPN and my work connection is slower than my home connection. If I need to download a file or upload a new build of software I have to disconnect VPN and then reconnect once I am done.
There are a number of known IP addresses for servers/services that I know of which I will need to be able to access.
My question is threefold.
- Can I configure the my MikroTik to dial my work VPN for me?
- Can I configure routing for specific IP addresses through the VPN?
- Can I isolate my internet access from the VPN so that traffic goes through my home internet?
