Acct-Input-Octets

Hi.

A quick question.

what is “Acct-Input-Octets”? Manual says “Acct-Input-Octets - bytes received from the client”

So if the client is behind the hotspot and Mikrotik send Acct-Input-Octets is that the bytes the client “sent”, as in uploaded through the hotspot or is it the “download”?

I can’t personally remember which - lots of displays like this one in Mikrotik are set to give you from that device’s perspective (so RX is the device’s download).

This tends to confuse me sometimes because I’m so used to thinking from the router’s perspective - my TX is the user’s RX - so the customer download would be TX in my thinking.

Any time I doubt which is which, I just start a download on a computer and watch its entry in the display - whichever one shows the large data is “download.”
