Hi guys and girls
Before bothering MT support, I thought I’d run my problem by you guys to see if someone else had the same thing happen to them and maybe could suggest measures to prevent it.
I have MT RB532 running 2.9.12 with 2 SR2’s as AP 's in a bridge configuration, one a 15dbi omni antenna, the other a flat panel serving as uplink, both 2.4 ghz. All this on a mountain tower with battery power.
After a complete power out, ie all my client radios off, when the power comes on again in the town and valley below, my omni AP behaves sort of numb. It responds very slowly, I struggle to connect with winbox, many clients can not connect although some do connect. With the clients that is connected, traffic is forwarded very, very slowly.
The only way I can get things back to normal, is to connect to the flat panel AP, change the channel on the omni AP, and then change it back again. Changing channel only once do not work. This also happened when I had a wrapboard running 2.8.28.! I then upgraded to RB and 2.9 thinking that was the problem, but apparantly not.
I know this sounds very wierd, but does anyone have any idea what is going on? We are having regular total power outs these days, so it is becoming quite an annoying issue.
Regards
Albie
