Hello. I configured a hotspot on RB1100 router along with a radius server (DMAsoftlab.com).
One cable goes from my Internet modem to a switch. From that switch one cable goes to my RB1100 Eth2 and another cable goes to my radius server. And one cable goes from Mikrotik Eth3 to a switch. I have configured the hotspot on Eth3.
I connected a Linksys router model WRT120N to the switch which comes from Eth3 port.
Now my problem is that when i access my Linksys router with my laptop, and when i login trough the Hotspot login page,
and when i go to Active tab in Hotspot page, it is showing the IP and mac of my router, and not my laptop.
In that case i will not be able to authenticate the users which are connected to my hotspot trough their mac or IP.
So please advise what is the problem? I want to see each user’s MAC and IP on the Active tab of hotspot page in my RB1100.
Let me tell you more info about this issue:
I created 2 users with Radius. Lets call them user A and user B.
When i first login to my Linksys AP with user A, and when i connect with a 2nd laptop to same Linksys AP, the login page does not
pop up for me and i am already logged in.
When i go www.10.5.7.1/status on my 2nd laptop, i can see that my 2nd laptop is already logged in with same username
as i used for my first laptop.
The Linksys is not passing through the correct clients MAC address, its using the routers mac address.
Once the first user is authenticated (using the linksys mac) all subsequent users are passing straight through as they are presenting the same mac. Reconfigure the Linksys .
Thanks for your reply. Yes thats exactly the problem. If i reconfigure the Linksys, how should i do that? I mean what settings on the Linksys should i change in order to fix this issue?
