I have 3011 routerboard, which can’t enter Safe mode today. It says “Could not enable Safe Mode - safe mode already held by somebody”.
This error appeared after winbox have died a couple of times on my Windows 10 machine. And now i have some records on Active Users tab (System → Users in Winbox).
I have closed these connections long ago, but they are still active. How can i actually close these sessions to be able enter Safe mode again?
I have already tried to remove user that has record at Active User tab, but it has no effect, records are still exists.
Thanks a lot. Pressing Ctrl+X in terminal solves my problem. It forces getting lock, asking me what to do: unroll or release previous lock. But my question about active users sessions is still actual. I need mechanism to drop these sessions without reboot. Does anyone have ideas, may be this is a bug? Winbox dies too often, and list of “active users” grows. I’m very sad =( Is there some bugtracker?
I have same problem. Even worse because one of this hunged sessions increase one of the cpus to 100% due a management process. Then, some requests of SNMP give time out.
Rebooting the router just because it’s no possible to kill an active session it’s no very optimum.
Is there any way to restart just the management process?
