I’m curious if I’m the only one liked minimal “white brick” mikrotik design? I wish they had ac2 in the old style box.

I liked the boxy design, both in white and especially the dark grey of the heX S

I also prefer the “old” design to the “new” one.
Also black, rubber like surface overheats easily while on summer sun light.

Anyway, our opinion here does not matter. Mikrotik makes decisions mostly on requests from distributors who mean significant marketing opportunity.
Well, I doubt the distributors insist on the black color or coating type.

Had to remove several hAP ac2 black boxes because they are perceived as UGLY and did not match in any way with the interior.
Personally I don’t like anything painted with “rubber like” paint. Experience learns that this paint becomes sticky after some years.

White color fits most of interiors

Boxy cases can stack quite ideally. The “fancy” rounded gadgets not so much.
And I’d add another plea/request: devices which come with (optional) rack-mounting ears should be 1U high natively (no more RB4011 ugliness).

“white brick” MikroTik design re-enforces the MikroTik BRAND .. and should be continued for any device model
