virtually every site adds it and it looks so much more professional. From my perspective, I don’t keep any text for sites with a favIcon on my favourites, keeps the toolbars so much cleaner!
I know, its not a big deal, but it’s easy to add!

New forum is missing this
New forum only shows favicon when using canvas theme. No favicon with any of the others. I know this is a petty little thing but I find it really annoying as MikroTik forum tab is only one in my browser without favicon. I don’t get on with canvas theme 
Great, you just increased the price of MT products as Normis has to get paid for changes.
Quite the opposite. It will cost ten minutes of work, but then some helpful users who prefer non-default theme will spend more time on the forum, because it will look nicer and they will feel better being here. They will help more other users, those will be happy with the support and buy more MikroTik products. MikroTik will be manufacturing more, getting some volume savings, etc. In the end, they can either pass it on customers and sell cheaper, or Normis can get bigger bonus. One way or another, adding favicon is smart choice for MikroTik, it will be worth it.
