Adding a filter bar in torch

I have done this twice by accident and tried to bring this up again, but I can’t seem to figure it out! For example, in the picture there are a lot of ping’s going on. I would like to filter just the pings out (as in does not contain icmp) and see the remaining traffic in real time.

Here is a picture of what I’m after: http://img355.imageshack.us/img355/598/icanhasfiltersty5.png

I know it can be done as I have mistakenly done it twice. Thanks in advance!

You may specify protocol TCP in torch configuration and check TCP traffic.

What I’m trying to figure out was how I got the filter bar enabled for the torch window, just like it exists on the firewall window.

This will enable me to say hide traffic that is icmp and hide traffic that is udp and hide traffic that is gre but show anything and everything else.

As I said I have done it a few times by accident, but I wasn’t aware of what I had done to get it to show up!

yes, it’s obviously filter bar is show up, but I did it accidentally, and I don’t know how to reproduce it. Anyone know it?

Anyone know how to do this? Done it a few times by some kind of magic but it’s really handy!

Has anyone figured this out? I did it once and it is incredibly helpful but I can’t figure out how to do it again!!!

It magically showed up on one of my consoles! So I’m posting an image of what I want to be able to turn on and off at will.

Anyone?

I have never seen that in v5. but could be awesome nevertheless. I think you get a better chance by contacting support directly and please do post the reply if you get any.

Hit F on the keyboard to show this

Doesn’t work. at least in v5.5

you are right. strange

Doesn’t seem to work in 4.17 either. But I have been able to get it to come up I just can’t remember how I did it! I’ve tried every key sequence I can think of to no avail! Any chance we can get that option put in the code??

we checked the code, and it says to press F

ok, will check again

Ha. Yea, F doesn’t work.

I bought 4 new RB1200’s and noticed that in rios 5.7 this still can not be done. Any update on this functionality? It would be very useful to us here.

Thank you very much for the reports.
We will try to fix “F” in the upcoming versions.

Sweet. That would be awesome!

Hi. Any update on the filter?

I found it by accident. Now I see the feature is actually documented.

I upgraded to 5.8 and I see it still does not work. In my opinion, there should be a button on the screen and not a key stroke that makes this work. A filter icon would be ideal.

John

Have you been able to see if this will get to work in the future?
