I recently bought a netPower Lite 7R and tried to incorporate this switch in my network. Already using a RB4011iGS+RM as router in combination with capsman managed wAP ac and and hAP ac3. The capstan managed access point (and switching in the case of the hAP ac3 are working flawless out of the box. Th problem I have is connecting the switch correctly. I have a SFP+ link running between the router and the switch. This setup is sort of working on my internal network. I can ping from behind the switch to the rest of my network. I can not ping from the rest of my network toward the switch. I tried to have the switch get an ip address with DHCP from the router. On the router I can see that is has got an ip address in my range 192.168.178.0 .. but it is unreachable one that dress. From behind the switch I can see that the switch uses the backup ip address of 192.168.88.1 (or 2 sometimes) and I can reach the web interface from there. The SFP+link is working fine (ping is possible and is see traffic). I can’t get the switch to obtain another ip address in my normal range. The sfp+ port is added to my bridge on the router and I do expect it to function as all other switches on the network and just passes on all traffic. What is going wrong here? I added two pictures from the swos web interface.
Thanks in advance.
Herman
