Addressing in local network

I currently have up to 254 hosts in use for 192.168.5.1-254 address.
I would like to have more such. 192.168.6.1-254 address.
I have statically assigned IP addresses to MAC.

Do I need to change only
192.168.5.1/24
of
192.168.5.1/16
?

Is it enough to change it only addresses tab?

I think it is better to subnet your network in VLANS.
This is better to manage and allso much better to manage broadcast.

I basically agree with the segementation approach, especially when talking about that many hosts.
But it depends… Dyo you really need an an upgrade from 254 to 65.532 usable addresses?
Would probably an upgrade to /23 (which makes 510 usable addresses) suffice? Then it’s really that easy.

He asked whether he could contact me directly as German is his preferred language.

It’s a good idea. Where do I change this? only in settings ip–>addresses?
