Adjust login timeout on RADIUS setup?

I’d like to extend the timeout on our RADIUS wifi setup. Right now, when my iPhone has been asleep for five minutes or so I have to refresh a page in Safari to re-login with my active directory credentials. How do I extend that? I’ve looked through the configs in WinBox and I don’t see it. Does this have to be done via telnet? Thanks!

Hello,

look in ip/hotspot/servers

dobleclick in your server and play with Idle timeout and Keepalive Timeout ; )

Awesome, thanks! It was set to 5 minutes!

: D! Thanks.

I think I’m too new to give karma. I don’t see the option to give it to you. How about virtual karma?

EDIT: Nevermind! found it!

The problem of being logged out during the day seems to be fixed. But now when I leave work for the day and come back, I have to log in with my active directory credentials again and then I’m fine throughout the day until the next day. Any idea how I would prevent having to log back in each day? Thanks!

Enable cookies in hotspot/server_profiles/login and set http cookie lifetime to X days.

That makes sense. When I go to that screen, the only box checked in the Login By is HTTP PAP. The Cookie box isn’t currently selected. Would it cause any problems selecting that? That will just create cookies on the devices with the specified cookie lifetime right?

Yes, if you don’t use RADIUS server, you can use it without issues.

If you work with a RADIUS server, you must take care with some configs.
