i am going to start a big University hotspot based on mikrotik 2moro
i ma thinking of installing ROS on a PC with the config bellow
core i7 Processor
16Gb ram
1Tb hdd
i am expecting about 6000 concurrent users
and the max bandwidth would be about 50Mbps
is this sufficient??
How much queuing will you be doing?
Sounds like it should be fine.
for each user there will be simple queue with bandwidth limit of 512kbps
16GB of RAM? To my knowledge x86 version is 32 bit and you can’t use more than 4 (32bit limit).

RouterOS RAM limit is 2GB on all systems, except Tilera.
One minute reply. Must be a record of some sort 
And to hardware advice should cloud core router not be a good choice. My guess is that it won’t be much more expensive than a pc (unless you already have bought the pc)
