I’d like to share my internet connection, but I’ve got a big problem.
I’ve got an ADSL server with MT 2.9.6 OS. In this pc there are 2 NIC
(ether1/192.168.6.1/->pppoe, ether2/192.168.7.1/->lan)
I connect my Ether2 to a hub. (And my other clients connecting this hub too.)
I enable 2 NIC card.
I set up ether1 ip 192.168.6.1
I set up ether2 ip 192.168.7.1 (this will be the lan’s gateway)
I use winbox to set up pppoe-client. Dialing and connect is good.
I set up DNS.
My route table is:
Destination Gateway Pref. Source Interface
AS 0.0.0.0/0 213.163.27.24 pppoe-out1
DAC 192.168.6.0/24 192.168.6.1 ether1
DAC 192.168.7.0/24 192.168.7.1 ether2
DAC 213.163.27.24/32 213.163.49.195 pppoe-out1
After it I masquerade my lan.
When I ping from MT to public sites most echo is good, and some sites are bad.
Why?
My client PC with Win’2000 OS, I set up the connection. NIC’s IP: 192.168.7.10
GW:192.168.7.1
When a start my browser, some site I can reach very quickly, but some site I can’t reach. If
I ping these unreachable sites some of them is answering for the echo, and the others not.
If I use debian linux (same config) for ADSL server everything is good.
But I’d like to use MT OS!
What is the problem with my MT OS server?
Please help me as soon as possible!
