Advice on VPN's

I need an advice on how to setup the following network. We’ve ordered 20 RB150 routers. One of those will serve as a VPN PPTP server, and the rest will be VPN clients to the server. On each client, I will need to setup dhcp on the other interface, so the Node gets an IP. I will not be allowed to use a static IP adresses for the nodes.

On the first interface, RB150 will be connected to a DSL modem in router mode. I will not be allowed to put it in bridge mode.

The question is - and I am pretty unsure is it right, as i haven’t seen the equipment yet - how to put nodes in the same subnet as the server in the main office. As there will be only 20 nodes for now, one class C network will be enough.

The problem - VPN server is on the dynamic IP. Dyndns works well I hope within the clients? So they connect to dyndns hostname?

so the diagram would be like 19 rb’s connecting to one rb. and behind every RB will be a node which has to have access to a dhcp server. each node must have connectivity to a central node, on every port it requires, without any complications.

So, how to setup the network, is there an easy way?

Just ask if you need more information…

Thanks!!!

1.. don’t put them all on the same subnet. No reason too.
2. A 150 don’t have much power, depending on encryption and speed, you may end up eating all of the processor time.
