We are a new WISP. I have MikroTik Router OS (PC Version). Another WISP sold it to me as a turn key installation about a year ago and the license is in there name. Now with that off my chest here is my problem. I was logged in via winbox tonight and added another user. I logged out. A little later I tried to login again and was unable to. A box popped up,
âWrong Username or Passwordâ. We were able to ping it and were able to get in via telenet but got the same response when trying to login.
Iâm 150 miles away and It has been suggested that I first try having someone reboot RouterOS. Does anyome have any ideas. I am not able to go to the city where this is located for another day. RouserOS seems to be passing traffic OK, but I just canât login to it. If I can get this resolved I want to upgrade the firmware to the latest version.
Probably you have change password for this account or make any other modifications.
Try to login wiht SSH or Telnet to this box, if you do not have any other login account at this router.
One way to restore the configuration, reinstall the router and reconfigure (your presence is required on site of course).
