After reboot some “clients” doesnt connect to AP, after manually rebooting one of them - they start working.
Have many mikrotiks they work great. Got some problems with some. Basically I have AP 532routerboard, using 5GHz and wlan and ethernet are bridged. Overal i have 2 access points like that. And both have about ~8 “clients”. Problem is if i reboot of AP’s, there is 2 clients in each which tries to connect to each other instead of AP. For 2 of them i puted their MAC in each other access list and made forwarding and authentification NO, but for other two it doesnt help, they still after AP reboot, tries to connect between each other, they are close to each other, thats why they do that. If on of these clients reboot routerboard, then it connets to AP later, well this is logical since they dont connect between them for a minute or so.
Is it possible somehow to ban, reject connecting between them ? and connect to access point instead?.
I am not clear on the details of this “attempt to connect to each other”. That may be a setting the users have chosen in their computers. If they attempt to connect to each other on their own wireless network, there is nothing you can do to stop that on your network. Is that the case?
when i mean client, its another mikrotik routerboard 532 which works as a bridge and i have several “clients devices” like that and 1 bridge AP for them. And after AP reboot, from 8 “client devices” 2 tries to connect to each other instead of AP, unless one of these 2 clients are rebooted manually. Other “client devices” work great and those are 2 pretty close, most likely it causes it. Basically i want to somehow prevent connect between these 2 “client devices”(bridge is on both), somehow disallow by mac or something. I puted their each other macs via winbow in access list and made authentification and forwarding none, strangly it helped for my other “client devices”, but to that other AP with ~8 client devices doenst help, so would be really nice way to know if its possible somehow prevent that connecting while keeping both bridge mode with same settings(they are connecting to same AP, bridged AP).
