Hello mikrotik fans out there
I have about 70 clients connecting to our AP with Mikrotik Cpe’s
and i have given a read only access to some of my clients, to let them view the signal strength.
The annoyance over here is that, whenever my client tries to connect to CPE all the connections are shown.
how do i drop all other and let him view only his kit.
i know i can save the profile and let him click on that profile and connect.
But i would like to hide all other client and only show his kit.
Thankyou very much for your suggestions
Sanjeev

Are you bridging the wlan and the ethernet interfaces of the customers CPEs? This type of issue is unavoidable in a bridge network. If you route packets between the wireless and ethernet interfaces of your CPEs, the issue will disappear.
Thanks skillful, i got you.
yes i’m bridging the wlan and ethernet.
By the way, which one has more advantage and good in chossing between
bridging and routing.
Thanks
sanjeev
Routing is better especially if you don’t have any compelling reasons to bridge. Routing removes the high network overhead associated with bridging and also gives the customer the freedom to choose the IP addressing scheme they want to use on their local network.
Thanks Skillful.
thankyou verymuch for your reply
