Hello! Im looking for all city wireless cowerage..I will use:
- 1x RouterBOARD 532
- 4x Atheros 5214 chipset cards
- 4x Sector antenas
But im afraid that one routerboard cant handle load.
There is trafik about 5 mbit on each wireless lan card
This config should be fine, but we won’t be shipping the RB500 that can use the daughterboard for a few weeks.

practicly there is no chance for 5 mbit in multipoint with more than 10 clients mode on each interface. we usually dont exceed more than 3 megs on each wlan interface. maybe it will handle it but the lattency will be very high and even you will have loss.
it is very ok if you use it on point to point basis. the radio interface ( wlan ) will be overheaded. this is 802.11 my friend :). maybe nstreme will help. comments ??? tully ?
