I’m running ROS 3.20 and recently I noticed something different. I have two upstream BGP peers and previously I would see a prefix count of ~280,000 or so for each of these peers. When looking at the routing table I would see two full sets of routes (one from each peer) and some were marked active and some weren’t. Now I’m seeing something different. One one peer I see ~275,000 routes and on the other I see ~7,500 routes. Also, now the routing table only shows active routes.
I am running 3.27 on 2 PowerRouter732’s as my edge routers to 2 providers, and I get similar behavior where one receives full routes from the other via ibgp but not vice versa.
Also in the router that is receiving all the routes fine it only appears to be announcing a small number of the 288k routes it gets from the upstream feed to the other border router. And at the other border router it is only putting two of those routes in it’s table, the two networks on the networks tab of the bgp config of the remote router.
