Alternative for RouterBoard?

Well, not to bust anybody’s bubble, but…

  1. RouterOS has not been ported to the Intel XScale CPU (which uses an ARM instruction set, not MIPS).

  2. There’s no MiniPCI ports on the thing.

  3. The wireless chipset used is a Philips one. It’s not supported by RouterOS, and even if it were, it is only 802.11b, and Nstreme would probably not be an option on it either.

there are other xscale boards abailble with minipci slots. he probably thought it was an intel x86 chip. What is the perfomance/mhz for arm vs mips? Would the clock speed be wasted on a less effiecient chip if MT was compiled for arm?
