amazing 25KM link

Setup:
2 x86 systems dell optiplex; intel 3Ghz CPU, one Offset 1,2m , one parabola 1,5, 2 feeders interline, 1,5m LMR400 pigtail, and the best XR5 :smiley:, the channel is 5800 turbo, nstream on, compression on;

Throughput ~60Mbps tcp in send or receive can I get higher ? the test is made with traffic on the box,

I am a little confused should I go to a lower channel that the signal go down to -50 ??? or this is ok any suggestion is welcome

Best regards Remus

Reduce TX power one dB at a time at each end until it is around -52

Hope this helps.

great! big antennas  people with such antennas made the 300+ km link
yes and as nz_monkey said, your signal is too strong, try to keep it a little below -50

ok I will make this changes tonight and I keep you up to date what happen with the throughput .

I think that something’s wrong, your results are very bad. I have link on 52KM and on each side is one RB433AH, one XR5 and hyperlink parabolic 90cm, 32,5 dB. Signal is -54 on both sides, it’s in turbo mode and I have 72-76 Mbps in one way.

Hi,

if you have 72-76 Mbps, it must be UDP, not TCP.

The RB433AH can deliver (in my tests) about 60-63 in TCP max.

I’m not interesting in udp traffic, I want more tcp traffic that is why I have asked for the signal strength because I thought that with this signal It ’ will go 70 -80 Mbps because I have x86 system and I’m not hardware limited.

if you put the signal to -60, you will get more TCP speed.

well, RB433AH is more than capable to saturate wireless link in turbo mode

and yes, go bellow -50 as normis said and you should see improvements in throughput

I have tried but wen I go 1 db in each end the signal go to -56 and CCQ is arround 70% and I can’t get more throughput, one end is near a GSM tower and I think it’s not good

Re-check your alignment.

You are possibly receiving reflections off other objects, or signal scatter at the side lobes at each end due to the huge antennas you are using. I would personally back the TX power back significantly and then try and get the best possible signal with the lowest TX power and then increase it from there if required.

I’m speaking from experience, and so is Normis.

In you opinion what antenna should I use; have someone tried http://www.vesuviustreamline.com/product/trans-techno-dual-polarity-31dbi-cassegrain-antenna.html; Could this model of antenna increase the throughput ? I want your opinion or shoul; I go to an offset 0,9 antenna ? Thanks in advance !!; what is the maximum throughput TCP that this installation can reaches, I don’t know how to calculate this

72-76 Mbps TCP, FTP transfer!!!

o_0u

at 52 KM?!

75mbps with RB433, TCP, btest, agregate speed (up+down)

Oks,

thanks, I think I have to realign my installed antenas.. jajajaja

my goal with the actual instalation 70 Mbps Btest TCP

to test this, it’s better to use btest.exe between 2 computers outside the link:

Computer1 ↔ rb433AH ----- rb433AH ↔ Computer2

ok I will try and keep U up to date
