Amazon Echo Spot will not stay connected to wifi

Hello,

I have had an Echo Dot and Pop for a while now, I just received my Spot today and it will not stay connected to the router. Pretty basic wifi config, just have a couple of slave interfaces as a DMZ for all this IoT crap. Unit is a RB4011iGS+5HacQ2HnD

I get these in the log every couple of minutes as it tries to connect.

08-07 17:43:33 wireless,info F…C@wlan5: connected, signal strength -79
08-07 17:44:30 wireless,info F…C@wlan5: disconnected, received deauth: sending station leaving (3), signal strength -79

I was able to pair Spot with my phone, got it registered, set up and updated to no avail, it will not connect to the Mikrotik

In another forum, someone suggested it might be an MTU issue, so I tried this to no avail:

/ip firewall mangle chain=forward action=change-mss new-mss=clamp-to-pmtu passthrough=yes tcp-flags=syn protocol=tcp

Update: It will connect with a wireless RB2011, so this is specific to that least the RB4011.

Ideas?

Hello, have you tried to “optimize” the band/frequency used by your RB ?
I don’t wanna be wrong but the signal strength is too low for a good connection, maybe the echo spot have a “not so good” radio recevier or is in a bad position and need a stronger/clean signal to work properly.
Another way can be to try to make the RB dhcp lease of the echo spot static.
