I have a mikrotik router at home that i’ve been using for a while, everything was working fine until last week, all of a sudden my firesticks cannot detect internet connection, all the other devices can access to internet but my firesticks, I just can’t figure out what it could be.
I was actually working with some configurations on the mikrotik and then firesticks stopped working, i thought i did something wrong while configuring so i reset the configuration and started from scratch, it didnt work. If i connect directly to my ISP’s router the firesticks (2) will work but not if behind the mikrotik
Hello,
Firestick connect by Wi-Fi right ? If yes, check what type of wi-fi are you running, older device or smaller one don’t like 5 ghz and they will not connect. Try to set up only 2,4 Ghz Wi-Fi and see if there is some difference.
P.S. Sometimes i had problem with both enabled 5/2,4 Ghz , try using only the 2,4 Ghz while the 5 Ghz is off/disabled
I guess you forget to mention that little, tiny fact. In first post you said “all of a sudden” like “I was surprised because I did not even touch anything”.

This is exactly what happened:
I have 2 mikrotik routers @home, a CSR and a tiny HAP.
I connect the CSR to my ISP’s router and then everything to the CSR.
3 APs
1 Web server
1 NAS
1 HAP (Mikrotik)
I configured the HAP as AP and everything was working fine. All of a sudden TV’s didn’t work, connecting 1 firestick to that HAP did not work, so in my other firestick I connected to another of my AP’s (that were working fine) and it didn´t work either. I switched the AP’s and same thing, I reset the configuration on the HAP and configured it again, it didn´t work. I thought I might have changed something on my main router and didn’t notice so I reset the configuration on the CRS and started from scratch. Firesticks will still not work. Any other device you connect to the AP’s will work correctly except the TV’s.
If I plug the AP’s to my ISP’s router it works correctly.
My answer based on your story is: the problem is the messed up configuration.
However we need a big crystal ball to help you find out what is the source of problem. No network diagram, no configurations, additional router involved.
