Has anyone had problems connecting to a MT hotspot using Android? I have a Google Nexus S running Gingerbread 2.34. Using Torch on the Mikrotik I see the phone’s wifi client appears to contact a remote server before it declares that an internet connection is available, otherwise I can’t even load the hotspot login page.
Obviously the hotspot is working correctly, but do other Android phones do this?
wow..is surprised that this is a known problem but no solution yet.
I am currently met with this problem as well. MT750. Problem only happen when using android 2.3.x. Android honeycomb 3.x and ICS 4.x does not have this problem. Can login fine.
Anyone have any solution? This is important because there are a lot of phones still using android 2.3. Appreciate any feedback.
Hai…I Think your DHCP network netmasik is /32, netmask 32 not work with gingerbird…so back to netmask /24 but dangerous with netcut. or change your android with ice cream sandwich . soryy my english
Awesome!! This solved the problem!! Apparently Android 2.3.x have problem using other than /24 subnet. Previously my mikrotik was configured to /25. After changing to /24 it works. Hope this help others who are having similar problem.
