Android Tethering and RB2011

I’ve been testing RouterOS x86 (v6.23) tethering via USB to my old HTC Rezound with CarbonROM (Android 4.4.4 KitKat) installed on it. This setup has worked well. However, now I want to eliminate the PC from the mix and get a wifi router that runs RouterOS. So, I recently purchased and setup a RouterBOARD RB2011UiAS-2HnD-IN (also running v6.23) at home. I plug in my phone and set it up similarly as my x86 setup. Works great for about thirty seconds (or less) and then the phone shows that USB tethering is suddenly turned off and Internet access stops.

Is there some setting on the RB2011 that I missed? Anyone else seeing this issue?

Can you post the full config output from this command “/export compact”? This would give us info, how you set it up.

I can’t think of any reason the router would turn off the USB, many people use their android phones as modems, and I have not hear similar issues yet. Let us see that config

I followed this blog post for tips:

See attachment for config.

Just in case anyone wants to know the resolution.. it was bad hardware. I RMA’d it and the replacement is working fine so far.
