android usb tether how to

I want to connect a android phone via usb to a router to provide internet to pcs connected to the router. I have not previously used Mikrotik routers and have the following questions:

  1. Which Mikrotik routers can do this?
  2. Does the usb provide power to the phone?
  3. Is the usb-tethered data throughput limited (ie < what phone or router itself might provide otherwise)?
  4. Is there a clear step-by-step guide to setup such a connection?
    • phone software (PdaNet or other) and settings
  • router software settings
  1. Can the usb-tethering work with more than 1 phone (not concurrently)
    • ie use the phone that is present for internet access, but can swap which phone is used
  1. Reasons other than data plan that I might not want to do this.
    • ie arguments for why a phone wifi hotspot to router connection to pcs would be better

P.s use google translate and see the images.

That answers the is it possible, and seems to indicate how to setup thus covering question 4. But I’m not clear on my other questions originally posed. Is there a reference for the blanket statement this will work on all models? I question because the post also indicates firmware issues.
