I am using a RB751U-2HnD and have a big problem with wifi.
Android devices like Huawei U8800 or Novo7 Advanced won’t connect to wifi when using wpa1(2)-aes.
It just tries and tries but connection isn’t established (or is established for a short time, but data doesn’t passes).
With my old router (buffalo WHR-G300N and wpa2-aes) those devices connect just fine.
When using wpa2-tkip android connect to microtik router just fine.
I asked microtik support about this problem, but they doesn’t have any solution.
Removing the old profile on the Android didn’t help?
Please enable the wireless, debug logging enable only wpa2-tkip, connect to the AP and make the support output file.
Then enable only the wpa2-aes try to connecto the AP and make the support output file.
No, removing old profle on android tablet didn’t help.
I have sent support files to Mikrotik support - subject: [Ticket#2012101766000394] RB751U-2HnD and wifi problems
Stumbled upon same problem, on RB2011UAS-2HnD-IN, my first RouterBoard device. Had Linksys before. All devices connected to RB2011 with the same settings as on Linksys (SSID, WPA2-PSK, AES) except Navon Plarinum lowend Android tablet. I tries to connect with no succes, on AES. Works on TKIP. Android is 4.0.3.
Any solution found to use it with AES enabled on RB?
