How do I block automated queries to Google that could cause such problem?
I ran a internet cafe and I keep getting complains regarding this and most users are in to gaming. My computer units are clean for malwares and viruses. I suspect probably the other users that uses their own laptops could possible be the reason and I can’t just expect their devices.
Do you have many PCs behind one IP address? Google simply doesn’t like many unique browsers sharing one IP. If you have several users, this is bound to happen sooner or later.
Thanks for the feedback Normis. I’m using 1 static IP address in the router and is connected to over 50 computer stations. Is there a way for me to monitor if my customer is really using google that much?
Most likely all 50 people use google sometime. So it means google sees 50 different computers from one IP address. Google does not like this. There is no way around it. You can use IPv6, get more public IP addresses etc.
How can I see the number of hits i get from my users when they try to use google? I just want to confirm the times they use google on a daily average. Thank you Normis.
Make an address list with all known google IP addresses in the firewall filter. Then make an accept rule for this traffic. You can then see counter for the hits.
