As you may know, i posted similar topic not long ago regarding ax2 and problem with link speed. That ax2 is now returned for service at my local distributor.
Yesterday i noticed that my second ax2 exibit same problem so i tried to do a little troubleshooting.
In my network cabinet downstairs I install RB260 switch because i need to connect another room to the network.
So my trunk is coming from upstairs to the RB260 on port 1, then it leaves RB260 at port 2 and goes to the ax2.
Ports 3 and 4 are untagged for VLAN88, 5 and SFP are disabled as they are not used for now.
So now i can see 1000Mbps link speed between ax3 upstairs and RB260 but only 100Mbps between RB260 and ax2.
While i was configuring RB260 i was connected thought same cable that is now used as trunk to the ax2 and the link speed was 1000 Mbps…
I don’t know where the problem is… This is now second ax2 with the same issue…
I had similar experience with AX2, I had AX3 as POE to AX2 whre AX2 detected anly 100Mbit. After a while it fixed itself, but this is probably bug and I hope it is only SW bug.
Very strange problem… I got information from my distributor that they had to return my other ax2 to the factory for repairs and further testing… So maybe it’s some sort of hardware problem ?
I mean you can never know when will problem appear again…
My ax3 connected to outdoor antenna with 1 Gig link while ax2 was only 100 Meg… Something is wrong with ax2…
So, today new issue… WiFi link speed 1200 Mbps, Speedtest 14 Mbps down, 91 Mbps up (limited by superfast 100Mbps link speed) wifi is crapping out all the time… All devices wants to connect to ax3 which is working for now.
Primary wifi, 2.4 gig for iot and security is working fine… For now at least…
I’m starting to feel like an idiot, my old ac3 and hAP ac worked so much better than ax2 and I bought two of them… I’m at the point where i regret this buy… I could get 2 Ubiquiti U6 Lite for cheaper than ax2, heck i have one of thoose at my drawer…
Today I tried to do simple test, ether5 on my ax2 was free so I make it trunk port instead of ether1 where I was only able to get 100Mbps and you can see results in pictures:
Original trunk on ether1:
New trunk on ether5:
VLAN config is the same for ether1 and 5, there is something wrong with ether1 on ax2, both of my ax2 have same problem…
