Hi all! I can’t figure out how to achieve 500mb download/upload on Hap Ac2?
My 15$ Xiaomi 4A router - solid 500mb download/upload (Mode AC, 5200, Width 80MHz)
My Mikrotik… Band: 5Ghz, N/AC, 5660 - 250mb download/540 upload, why download speed is low than upload?
Hook another access point up to it, and disable the internal Wifi.
Working great here.
I have seen downloads in the 600s.
Try to check security profile. Wireless > Security profiles> click on default 2 times > Leave only WPA2 PSK enabled. For some reason if you have a tick on WPA PSK and WPA2 PSK, wireless speed gets halved.
True, after hooking up another AP, I have more time to spend with my family, happy life now.
Don’t waste your time to “optimize MT wifi”, there are no magic setting, it’s due to driver, not setting, not at all.
MT with standard drivers (wifiwave2 drivers are not available for hAP ac2) uses too small A-MSDU and A-MPDU sizes to get those high net speeds. (The payload per transmission is too small).
Download is the MT transmitting, upload is the client transmitting ???
