Antenna Alignment using RB532 LED

Hi all,

I have just placed a tiny script on the MT Wiki which blinks the User LED on the RB532 (and presumably on the RB100 series) according to the SNR of the first entry in the Registrations window.

Use at your own risk, tweak till you drop… enjoy :sunglasses:

Cool, Thanks

Can we leave it running on indoor RB’s (so a quick glance could check status, and it looks neat)

You’re welcome

if a flashing bright red LED doesn’t bother you, I guess you can…

It would be cool to see the other two leds above that one light up based on snr to. Know how to make that work. Kind of like a bar led on an EQ.

really cool…thanks…i have it running on my home router to see when someone is using wifi…i have the schedueler set to 1 sec interval so i’ll report back if this causes any errors but so far so good and very minimal cpu util. hit.

tks again

The RB100s don’t support “duration”. We use an alternate with them; pulling the little speakers off and using the beep command. My real wish on a related note is to control the 3 WRAP leds.

I think MikroTik should build these features into the software as there are a lot of other systems have LED status.

My 5c worth.

yes, led stats for a specific device, but not for all devices. we can make it work with routerboards maybe

Cool, look forward to seeing it in the next upgrade?
