I’ve made some experiments with external antenna on RB751U and RB751G, using ROS 5.18. I’ve put mobile device directly on external antenna to see if it is working - using application WiFi Analyzer on the device to measure TX power and WinBox stats on Signal tab (see picture) to measure RX power. I could see extremely strong signal (both TX and RX) when Antenna Mode was set to “antenna b” (see picture), so it is working.
The problem is that when I choose rx-a/tx-b or tx-a/rx-b mode, external antenna is obviously not working - there is no difference on signal power (TX nor RX). Why? I thought I could use external antenna only to improve receiving (mode tx-a/rx-b), but I can’t.
