Antenna Pictures

I am starting this thread to hopefully gain some ideas from others. Looking to build an antenna structure and wanting to see some creative ideas being used.

Not anything I’d use in production but worked for our tests well. Was able to make a 19km link work across San Diego. I’m hoping to see ideas on rooftop structures, bases, etc.

Spray painting an otherwise white 8 slot waveguide black to blend in with a security camera post

Good example of using a parapit to futher isolate a directional link

At what frequency are the four (4) presumably 90 degree sectors operating?

ps - if anyone wants image hosting for these pictures (http://h1x.com/mt/[yourpicturenamehere.jpg]) email them to sam @ changeip dot com and I will upload them for you. That way in a few years they will still be accessable here.

we just built this today… the PoE cables aren’t even ran yet. We’re going to test a NStream Dual link to see how it performs on a RB532 (18mile link), if it doen’t work out, we have a orthogon gemini on standby (we are going to be putting up a few more PtP links off this in the coming weeks)

on the left, a 5.8 sector and a 5.8 omni, on the right a 2.4 sector
everything is mounted 280ft up, PoE down to the base of the tower

the full view of the tower above, the sectors above are just above the top torque arms of the tower, also note the dish at 150’

a grain leg. The omni has been moved 6’ higher since this was taken to better clear the equipment on the other side of the grain leg.

another Nstream Dual link on a 532 we are about to test, this one went up yesterday, it’s not aimed yet, storm came through at the other of the link and our climbers had to come down before finishing.

Its on 2,4 Ghz and the channels are 2412, 2437, 2462, 2472
And it have ben working now for 2 years ,
