hello, let assume that I have 2 X 16dbi sector antennas connected to RB433AH thruogh a splitter, if the router radio transmits 25dbm how much each antenna gets?
thanks

All depends on splitter, basicly it passes DC through it to enable dual amplifiers for each antenna.
-3db per antenna excluding splitter and line losses.
but my splitter is totally passive, no DC in.
which solution of the following do you think is better:
??
I’m guessing that you want to point your antennas in different directions. By doing so there will be no multipath and performance will be reduced to about 50% of 11g…
So better solution would be to use four antennas and two splitters or get two antennas with wider horizontal coverage.
what do i need 4 antennas for? I need to cover 240deg by 2X 120deg sector. so which is better, a splitter or to use the radio both chains?
You need 4 antennas for 11n operation and 240deg coverage.
best practise is to have an antenna connected to a separate card. the RB433AH has theree mini pci slots for cards why not have an antenna connected to either of the slots. If it was the 411 then u have no option
