I have a mesh 802.11 network between three routers. If I use compress-all between them my Winbox connections to remote routers close sporadically. If I remove IP packing the disconnections stop. I then gradually re-enabled IP packing and could go up all the way to compress-headers without the connection dropping.
Using 6.38 on RB922s with two antennas each and within the same room. The routers don’t actually disconnect from each other, so their registration-list uptime continues increasing without interruption.
The drop can take seconds to a few minutes to take place. But when it doesn’t take place it’s stable for hours.
