Are MikroTik routers like Chateau AX Pro incompatible with any NIC or perhaps more compatible with others? For example, Intel i225/i226 cards are known to have issues with some switches and routers. I need a modern PCIe 2.5Gbit/5Gbit NIC for desktop client and that NIC has to not have issues with MikroTik routers.
The current consumer trend of 2.5 and 5.0 GBit devices seems to be somewhat redundant to me, since 10 GBit standard is more than two decades old and even 100 GBit standard is over a decade old now. Therefore nowadays second hand top shelf low latency 10 GBit NICs like the Solarflare ones which were once used by a particular part of the financial industry where every nanosecond matter are up for sale at really low price points.
