Just wondering if there are any plans for the production of an AC compatible mini-pci card.

That’s a Mini PCI express card, not a Mini PCI.
There isn’t really much of a use for mini-PCI cards nowadays when you’ve got mPCIe ones. You may be able to get an adapter from eBay though.
I don’t believe such adapter exists.
i dont think 802.11ac will be a good pairing with old PCI
that remembers me the old pci gigabit NICs with limited performance because the bus limitation
PCI Express/MiniPCI Express is a serial protocol. PCI/MiniPCI is parallel. So you actually need an active component acting as a bridge, with buffering (RAM) and protocol translation (CPU), which amounts in complexity to a small computer. I doubt there is such thing on the market.
Ok, that’s something new.
Yeah, I saw that only one too, it has no price and doesn’t look like very practical to install in a small box, most of the time. I bet is cheaper to buy a newer routerboard than that adapter.
Any news with this?
I have RB493G and currently using R52HnD card.
Maybe redesigned RB493G with integrated wifi without minipci connectors?
