Any plans for an RB411G?

It would be nice to have a single card board with gigabit. As it stands now, you have to plunk down a serious chunk of dough to get a wireless board that supports gigabit.

RB411G wouldn’t cost the same as regular RB411 anyway.

Here is the cheapest Gigabit wireless product we have: http://www.routerboard.com/product/109

Really great for CPE :astonished: For instance to connect to 5 WISP’s

from a price standpoint, much better than RB800, your only other choice. yes, we are working on gigabit CPE devices, but nothing to announce yet.

One has to wonder these days why 100mbit is even an option, I do recall a number of times clients thinking there was an issue because their gbit switch with gbit computer’s (every computer made in the past 2 years pretty much) shows a different LED on their internet “port” and think some things wrong.

Surely the difference in price between the 100mbit switch chips and 1000mbit switch chips are next the nothing (apart from any PCB redesign needed of course)

Well, there is also the 493G, but it’s about the same price as the 435G.

Can you give a ballmark on how long before you bring a gigabit cpe device to market.
