Well as the question states. Any plans?
Also, how far is MT’s 802.11n card from being released? Or do we have it the wrong way?
I believe MT should concentrate on producing proper radios in parallel with proper RBs to complete the MT product as a market leader.
We really would like to see the latter.
Also, Wimax is not that important anymore as we have seen that Wimax N-LOS capabilities are due to Brute Tx Power. The client unit Tx power is not that high and that is why the client Wimax upload rate is crap. Client units receive well but don’t transmit well enough. So, if we pump up the power on 802.11n, then we may lose throughput because of the extra noise, but yet it should not be such a devastating loss from 300 Mbps VS Wimax 2-8Mbps client side. If we end up with 8 Mbps on the client side with 802.11n, then it will still be a more affordable solution than Wimax. Most Wimax Systems are running on at least 2 Watt client radios excluding the Antenna. Heck knows what is the transmission power on the towers, but the Tower Antennas do seem to say: “I am BIIIIIIIIIGGGGGGGGG!”
