anyone ever build this system? 2 prism APs, Bridged togethe

Has anyone had experience using a rb532 with 2 prism radios in AP mode, bridged together, and access to this 2 sector bridge is controlled by a hotspot with user bandwidth controls.

The reason I ask this simple question, is that I was reading routeros V3 bugs and something like this would cause a system freeze. Next week I will be putting this together and wanted the benefit of the Forum’s wisdom and experience ahead of time!

Thank you kindly

Why would you want to bridge the sectors together? Why would you use Prism cards?

If you make use of PPPoE, all your clients can be in the same IP range (if you are worried about this).

I would much rather go for Atheros based wireless cards, especially CM9 or R52. Although their mw (milliwatt) is lowr than the Prism cards, the receive sensitivity is much better. There’s no use screaming to your friend down the street, he can hear you, but he whispers back. It’s more important for both sides to talk at the same level, and for both sides to have good ears…

I built it, it worked. This was an upgrade to an existing site.

Reason was that I had 50 fixed IP clients all talking to the same ssid. Prism radios kept some earlier CPE firmware issues we had with a previous SR2.(it only affected 2, but on this site would create issues for 20)
