Anyone running BGP with high throughput on a 1000 or 1100?

Since replacing our core routers with mikrotik our level of support has been amazing to our customers. Everyone loves what we are able to do with the mikrotiks!

Im considering replacing one of my border routers, a cisco, with a RB1100 or RB1000…

Anyone out there running BGP with full routes two multiple peers passing 50 or so M/bit using a 1000 or 1100?

Hows that work out?

Have several RB1000’s in production with several upstream peers on gig ports, and internal peering with customer routers… I am using fiber media converters for some of them.. except for keeping a spare media converter on hand have had no problems, the RB’s have been rock-solid. I use the RB’s for ‘edge’ tasks, and separate routers for internal tasks, including a intel based box. This RB1000 setup has been up and running for almost 2 years now… picture attached. (functional, not pretty)

Rack 2 needs some wiring attention.

Yes. We’ve 2 rb1000 each of them receiving a full bgp table with 100MBit
doing iBGP between them. CPU is lightly loaded.
