First off, apologies if this has been answered 100 times but I have just dumped an armful of openwrt devices for mikrotik AP’s (CAP ac’s). RouterOS is very foreign to me.
Neither of the main routers in my scenario are mikrotik, but all of my AP’s are. The ikev2 server is hosted properly in Location 1, ports are redirected and open as I can connect with single devices like my laptop and phone.
At Location 2 I have three AP’s that I manage in a standalone fashion one by one. They are all in WISP AP bridge mode, set on different channels under the same SSID, so as you move on the property it connects to the new one with a stronger signal.
At Location 2, I want to add another AP to specifically put it on a different SSID so I can tunnel to Location 1. Here is my problem
I want to configure that AP so that all connections on it transmit and receive as if they are in Location 1. Currently I am trying to accomplish this by establishing an ikev2 tunnel that exists only on that AP. Is that even possible?
I can manage the setting in their router with iked, but I wanted to see if this was even possible first. Here is a horrible diagram as to what I am attempting to achieve.
