I am new on the forum, and I would like to get some help!
I have MT 2.9.7 with wireless licence, and my wifi cards dont work.
Here is the situation:
Cards are atheros 5213 and 5212 (Alfa AWPCI16G and TP-Link TL-WN551G).
And they are tested on winXP and working.
MT recognizes them and I give them
192.168.4.2/16 wlan1
192.168.4.3/16 wlan2 ip addresses and I have one lan nic:
192.168.4.1/16 ether1 card.
I set the cards via winbox into ap-bridge mode.
The problem is that i cannot connect to any of these wireless cards
from an AP (in B mode) which is in the same room. AP is in client mode
and it can see both wifi cards in MT bad cannot connect to them!
I havent set any other parameters on MT yet (gateway, routing…), I just want it to set as sector tower first (I have another router which will be changed for MT)
I have read manuals, and was trying to solve this, but it doesnt go
What can be the problem ?
First of all, put these cards into diferent subnets. A month ago I would not understand sentence I wrote . Because cards You have are in the same subnet and I think it wont work that way so you can put them like this:
192.168.4.1/24
192.168.5.1/24
192.168.6.1/24
or you can bridge these interfaces
If first answer does not solve your problen and I think Not because you havent passed the connection to the ap, check in which standard are the apbridge interfaces are set: B or G. If Ap can detect the signal it is ok.
Which AP do you use for connecting to the MT
Make shure you turned on the Default Authenticate and Forward Options on interface apbridge settings.
I cant remember anything else answer few questions I have wrote and we will see what to do next
