ap-bridge; how to?

since 2.8.15 I see a new mode about wireless interface: ap-bridge;

I know that it is about to bridge but hoe it works.
Is it another way, different from WDS and EOIP, to bridge?

do you mean ap-bridge is new or i misunderstood you .. about what mode are you talking about ?

there was a mode=station-bridge but it seems to be gone in 2.8.16.

      alignment-only  This mode is used for positioning antennas (to get the best direction)
           ap-bridge  Card works as access point
              bridge  Cards works as access point, but can register only one client or access point
  nstreme-dual-slave  The interface is used for nstreme-dual mode
             station  Card works as client for the wireless infrastructure
         station-wds  The interface is working as a station, but can communicate with a WDS peer
           wds-slave  The interface works in ap-bridge mode, but it adapts to its WDS peer's frequency if it is 
                      changed
