Hello, i need advice. I need to buy access point to the company where they send big files (programmers) so I care about speed - of course mikrotik but which version
What do you Need?
Desktop stand or Wall Mount?
2,4 ghz or 2,4 and 5ghz?
How many clients and how many rooms, how large a they?
As someone on this forum had sad - the first rule while creating wireless network - to be sure that it is impossible to use cabel.
I had setup WiFi in 2 small offices with programmers (20-25 developers in each) - i convinced to use wireless only in conference room, guests and for test lab (to connect tablets and phones), in other cases they use cabel.
hAP ac or WAp ac
They both have 3 wifi chains.
The office is currently on one floor. The cables are laid out in every room, and the AP will be at the central office. About 15 people will work (95% of employees prefer wifi)
So, as Bonz had said - hap ac or wap ac
but if employees (15 people) realy should work with big files very soon they will be disappointed - for some developers 1G wired network is not enough
If your device has three chain WiFi, hAP ac will be much faster. In the latest RC release the speed is much improved and you can get even 700Mbit over wireless.
